BBNBA: Spin Cycle Edition

It was a slow night for former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA last night, as only five former Cats suited up for their respective squads. For most colleges, having five guys in NBA action on a given night would be a lot, but for Kentucky and a few other schools, it is a slow night. Let’s take a look at what the former UK guys did last night.

Andrew Harrison, Memphis Grizzlies (95-94 win over Magic)

Andrew Harrison was one of two Cats to put a defender in the spin cycle last night.

Let’s take another look at it because it is just that pretty.

And this step back jumper was just as nice.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Charlotte Hornets (97-87 win over Mavericks)

Drive and finish through the lane for MKG is a highlight we’ve seen a hundred times in the past.

Remember when he had that great recovery block late in the game against Kansas and helped the Cats win the National Championship? I think of that every time I see him play defense.

Aaron Harrison, Charlotte Hornets (DNP in 97-87 win over Mavericks)

Aaron Harrison seems to have found a spot at the end of the bench for the Hornets. He has only checked into four games so far this season, never playing more than 4 minutes.

Trey Lyles, Utah Jazz (111-110 loss to Heat)

Lyles was the second former Cat to pull out the spin move for a score last night.

Trey made four 3’s in just the first quarter last night.

DeAndre Liggins, Cleveland Cavaliers (DNP 113-94 loss to Clippers)

Despite the large margin of defeat, Liggins didn’t get a chance to check in to this game. Not easy to earn extra playing time when there are three All-Stars in the starting lineup though.
