BBNBA: Noel and Patterson help fuel a Thunder win

Recap:

  • The Oklahoma City Thunder were looking for their first win of the season last night against the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately for the Suns, their best player, Devin Booker, was sidelined with a strained hamstring, giving the Thunder the advantage and eventually the W.
  • Two former Cats played extremely well for the Thunder, as Nerlens Noel and Patrick Patterson combined for 37 points, 19 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists, and a block.
  • Hamidou Diallo did not play because he missed the morning team walkthrough. A rookie mistake that Diallo will need to learn from going forward.
  • The Los Angeles Clippers and rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took home another victory, this time over the struggling Washington Wizards. SGA flirted with his first career triple-double, but came up just short. John Wall and Brad Beal need some help, and it is clear that the Wizards’ front office isn’t going to give it to them.
