Kentucky’s Sacramento triumvirate celebrated a win last night in Golden State.  Playing without Steph Curry, Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson, the Warriors fell 98-93.  Sacramento is now the only visiting team to go 2-0 this season at The Oracle.

Skal Labissiere was the Kings’ second-leading scorer.  The former Kentucky big man knocked down three-of-four threes to finish with 15 points, 5 boards, 3 assists and a steal.  Even without Curry in the lineup, rookie point guard De’Aaron Fox struggled for most of the game.  He scored just six points and had more turnovers (3) than assists (2).  However, he came up big down the stretch, scoring a tough bucket with a minute left to give the Kings a three-point lead.

Willie Cauley-Stein did Willie Cauley-Stein things.   The former UK All-American had 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks, one of which sealed the Kings’ victory.

Only four other Wildcats were in action Friday night.

I didn’t know Noel was back. Nice to see former Cats get healthy and do well.

Thanks for these updates … some of us follow these guys.

WCS block reminds me of an often overlooked fact-losing Willie to injury late in the tournament cost us the 2014 title. No way UCONN hits so many 3s to beat us with Willie in the game.

I bought the NBA league pass to watch them all play. I used to not be interested in the NBA at all because the former Cats in the league that were difference makers were few and far between but now I find it so exciting and refreshing to be able to root for players and not really care if their teams win or not. It’s great! More people should try it if it’s affordable to them.

Btw- does anyone else think that kid from Buffalo looks a little like WCS in his dread-lock days? I called him Mini Cauley Stein

Happy for the Kings’ Kats but Golden State was without Durant, Curry, and Thompson.
