BBNBA: Fox and Meeks both send games to overtime

It was a busy night for former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA last night, as two of the six guys in action managed to hit big shots near the buzzer to send their games to overtime.

For the Kings, De’Aaron Fox drove to the lane and finished over three Miami Heat players, just barely getting the shot off before the fourth quarter buzzer sounded. Upon further review, the shot would count, and the Kings went on to take the victory in OT over the Bam Adebayo and the Heat.

Secondly, Jodie Meeks found himself wide open in the corner with less than five seconds remaining and the Wizards down three. Any Kentucky fan knows that you can’t leave Meeks open behind the arc, and he buried the shot to give the fans some free basketball in overtime. The Wizards and Celtics would take this game to a second overtime before Washington picked up the W.

A bit of less exciting news for Kentucky fans, as Julius Randle and Isaiah Thomas had to be separated on the Los Angeles Laker bench during a timeout last night. As of this moment, I don’t know the origin of the issue, but it is further proof that Thomas has rubbed people the wrong way for the majority of the team’s he’s played for. There’s a reason that a bonafide winner like LeBron James only let Thomas stick with the Cavs for less than half a season.
