BBNBA: Enes Kanter Owns Devin Booker

When two notorious trash talkers collide, sparks fly.  It doesn’t matter if they’re both former Kentucky Wildcats.

Last night Enes Kanter’s New York Knicks traveled to Phoenix to take on Devin Booker’s Suns.  Booker’s frustrating shooting night was made much worse when Kanter started chirping.  Booker had only 12 points on 4-of-12 field goals when Kanter got inside his head.  Already with a technical and a flagrant foul, when Kanter blocked Booker’s shot into the stands, D-Book could no longer contain his emotions.

Kanter’s Knicks won 107-85.  The Turkish forward had 20 points and 10 rebounds.  After the game he was still talking trash.

In other news from Wildcats around the NBA (that isn’t depressing injury news), Alex Poythress is back to doing Alex Poythress things. He also had two rebounds and an assist in nine minutes for the Indiana Pacers.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s solid scoring night helped him reach a new milestone. He had 19 points to surpass the 3,000 career points milestone.  MKG added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals to the box score.

Here’s how the rest of the BBNBA fared on a Friday night that was overshadowed by Cousins’ season-ending injury.

You know Enes needs to be more respectful to a kid who actually played for UK. He just sat on the bench. Devin played and gave us some great memories. I always liked Kanter, but this kind of behavior towards a true Wildcat is disturbing.

So, not playing here was Kanter’s fault? Booker missing shots, getting flagrant and T’s called on him is Kanter’s fault? Booker being the spoiled kid he is reacting to another player having abetter game is Kanter’s fault? Putz.

I guess when you play for the Knicks you have to talk as much trash as you can when you can because you’re not gonna be doing a lot of it throughout the season

Pretty funny folks calling out Kanter for having a mouth while Booker, the mouth of the NBA, gets a pass. Double standards allover the place in here. You folks should be proud of your personal ethics.
