BBNBA: De’Aaron Fox has game winning tip slam

Former Kentucky Wildcat and current Sacramento Kings rookie De’Aaron Fox has had his ups and downs of his first season in the NBA. The Kings as a whole are pretty terrible, but some bright flashes of potential from Fox, Buddy Hield, and Willie Cauley-Stein show that they do have some solid pieces to build on.

Last night, Fox rose to the occasion in the closing seconds for Sacramento, as the Kings were down 1 on their final possession. Bogdan Bogdanovic threw up a fade away jumper for the win and the shot rimmed out, but Fox came flying in from the three point line in the far corner to slam it home and give the Kings the lead and inevitably the win.

Take a look and I highly suggest you give a listen as well, because the Kings’ broadcast team is a blast to listen to when a Sacramento player makes a big play.

  1. Great job Swipa! However, whey do the Kings’ unis look like Euro league unis?

They are a part of the NBA’s new deal with Nike. Each team now has an alternate called their “City Jersey”, which is why you’ll notice that the Heat were wearing a Miami Vice-esque uniform.

Never heard of a tip slam. Looked to me like he grabbed it and slammed it home like a normal dunk. ?

A tip slam is when a player catches a rebound and dunks it all in one motion while in the air, rather than jumping up for the rebound, grabbing it and coming down to the floor before jumping again to dunk.
