BBNBA: Anthony Davis sits, Terrence Jones shines


Anthony Davis had to sit out tonight’s game for the New Orleans Pelicans due to a quad contusion, but his absence allowed for former Kentucky teammate Terrence Jones to get the start. Jones took advantage of the added minutes, leading all players in scoring in his best game as a Pelican.

When Coach Cal first started at UK, one of his big things to yell at the guards was to “Reward your big guy”, meaning that when the big guys ran the floor, reward them with a pass for a bucket. Terrence Jones got a few rewards last night.

Archie is still struggling to find his place on the floor on an already struggling Pelicans roster. Hopefully something changes for the guy, but with Jrue Holiday coming back from injury, Goodwin’s role should stay small for a while.
