While Anthony Davis has had a monster start to the season when it comes to his individual stats, the New Orleans Pelicans have struggled mightily. Last night, they were able to pick up their first win of the season behind another strong game from the Brow.

Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans (112-106 win over Bucks)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
 41  12-25 0-0  8-8   3  5  8  2  2  4  2  3  +7  32

Davis did his usual dominating on the offensive end of the floor, but I was more impressed with the way he protected the rim. Especially against former Dukies.

Here’s a second block on Plumlee.

And a block on Jabari Parker for good measure.

bbnba-jones

Terrence Jones, New Orleans Pelicans (112-106 win over Bucks)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
34   2-6  0-1  6-6  3  4  7  0  0  1  0  2  +5  10

Terrence Jones wanted to get in on the anti-Dukie action with a score over Parker.

bbnba-goodwin

Archie Goodwin, New Orleans Pelicans (DNP in 112-106 win over Bucks)

The newly signed former Cat still has not checked into a game for the Pelicans.

bbnba-randle

Julius Randle, Los Angeles Lakers (101-91 win over Kings)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
 26  4-10  0-1  7-7  1  7  8  5  0  1  2  2  +7  15

The real story in this game was the multiple scuffles between Randle and Cousins. We harped on that earlier this morning so I’m not going to show much of it. Let’s focus on the highlights, like this beautiful post move from Randle.

And this dunk on the breakaway.

bbnba-cousins

DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings (101-91 loss to Lakers)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
36   10-25  3-6  5-8  3  9  4  2  0  4  3  +1  28

Is there anything more impressive than the way DeMarcus Cousins is shooting the ball from the outside this season?

I really don’t think there is. A big man who can shoot is one of the more valuable things you can have on your team.

bbnba-cauley-stein-wcs

Willie Cauley-Stein, Sacramento Kings (101-91 loss to Lakers)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
 12  3-4  0-0  0-0  2  2  4  0  1  0  1  2  -11  6

Nice finesse finish here from WCS.

And how many times have we seen a dump off pass to Cauley-Stein for a dunk? No number is enough times.

bbnba-labissiere

Skal Labissiere, Sacramento Kings (DNP in 101-91 loss to Lakers)

Skal has only checked into one game so far this season for the Kings. Here’s to hoping he finds his way onto the court soon.

bbnba-rondo

Rajon Rondo, Chicago Bulls (98-95 win over Heat)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
37  6-14   1-1  3-4  11  12  6  2  0  1  0  +6  16

Rondo played one of his better games of the season for the Bulls last night. However, with all the focus on Dwyane Wade coming back and picking up a win in Miami, there aren’t many Rondo highlights available. That’s a shame because the guy almost messed around and got a triple double.

bbnba-murray

Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets (125-101 loss to Warriors)

Min FG 3PT       FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
 29  5-15  2-7  2-2  2  1  3  6  1  1  3  3  -2  14

Jamal Murray played his best game of his short NBA career last night. After a rough start, it is nice to see the Canadian get back on track. Here’s his first dunk.

This is what we saw a lot of at UK for Murray. One of the prettiest jumpers of the Coach Cal era.
