BBNBA: Alex Poythress impresses again in second game with the Sixers

Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 8.43.54 AM

Last night was Alex Poythress’ second game with the Philadelphia 76ers, and for the second game in a row, he finished in double figures. Alex had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal in 28 minutes last night for the Sixers, who lost to the Nets 141-118. That’s where we’ll start today’s BBNBA roundup, because what a feel good story, right?

After yesterday’s shootaround, Alex told reporters that he’s been preparing for this opportunity all season in the D-League.

“I’m prepared for this. I grinded all year. It’s what I’ve been dreaming of, it’s what I’ve been working hard for,” Alex said. “There’s no weight on my shoulders, or anything. Just trying to go out there and have fun, and play basketball.”

After signing a two-year contract with the Nets, Goodwin was feeling good, attacking the rim as only Archie can:

Davis had 41 points in 41 minutes last night, his 15th game this season with 40+ points. Sadly, the loss to the Nuggets eliminated their playoff hopes (which were slim at best), but man, Davis is fun to watch. Here’s him getting it done on both ends with the help of DeMarcus Cousins:

Jamal Murray got the start vs. the Pelicans and showed out, finishing with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, including two threes.

But Murray also showed how skilled he’s become at attacking the rim:

WOW! Alex has 0 turnovers in 52 minutes! Where was that the last 4 years? Obviously they are not calling all of those ridiculous traveling violations on him. Go Poythress!
