Bam Adebayo did not beat Kobayashi in the burger-eating contest

Bam Adebayo may be a great basketball player, but he is not a good competitive eater.

As expected, Bam’s team lost the Burger Fi burger-eating charity challenge to competitive eating legend Takeru Kobayashi, but it wasn’t just a loss, it was a blowout. In five minutes, Bam finished one burger to Kobayashi’s TWENTY. His team, which also included former NFL star Russell Maryland, managed to eat eight altogether.

“Bro, this is not my profession,” Bam told Heat beat writer Ira Winderman. “I’ll be ready to throw up right now. He came out strong in the second half.”

From Burger Fi’s Instagram:

Eventually, Bam just gave up and filmed Kobayashi on Instagram Live:

Each cheeseburger consumed raised $100 for charity, so there’s that. And we’ll always have this picture:

How is he ready to throw up after only eating a burger in 5 minutes?

I love BAM, but 1 burger means he only raised $100 for the charity himself. That’s pretty sad. I could have doubled him up at least for charity’s sake.
