Krypton Chicago native Anthony Davis made a surprise return to the New Orleans Pelicans late last night in a 95-108 road loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Davis, who suffered a fractured metacarpal in his left hand during a December 1 road win over the New York Knicks, was originally pegged to miss 4-6 weeks while recovering from injury. However, the Pelicans tweeted a little over an hour before game time that the 2012 consensus National Player of the Year would be stepping foot on a basketball court much earlier than expected.

Anthony did not appear to miss a step in his first game in over 2 weeks, as the NOLA big man led all scorers with 24 points, to go along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals. Glad to see AD getting back to doing what he does best.
