Anthony Davis needs a coach

It takes more than improving your record every year and reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2011 to keep your job in New Orleans, apparently.

Today it was announced that Pelicans head coach Monty Williams is no longer the head coach of the Pelicans. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski believes Williams was “pushed out” by GM Dell Demps for more control of the franchise.

With a roster that includes superstar Anthony Davis and several other young pieces, New Orleans is a very attractive job. The team also has Tyreke Evans and…

… Oh no…

Well, if Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski is correct in saying that Williams was “pushed out” by GM Dell Demps for more control of the franchise, then I don’t see Calipari as a viable option. Calipari, I believe, would only take a job where he had that kind of control. I don’t see Cal considering a job where his control is limited. Just my opinion.

The Pelicans will hire Thibs from Chicago after he gets fired there. Then Chicago will hire Fred Hoiberg.

Sleep easy Big Blue Nation. Nothing to see here.

I think the Pelicans will go for a coach that AD will get input on.

That could still be Cal with all his guys coming out for the draft…..Cal could add a couple of Cats if they don’t get drafted…..coincidence? Plus Tyreke is there as well.

Demps may lose the power he is craving. We have something to monitor here.

I see them dumping Eric Gordon next.

Davis is the only asset this team has. I didn’t care for the coach or most of the players surrounding AD.

There is lots of guys out there who would make a good coach in the NBA…I do not think Coach Cal is one of them..Why, Because Cal likes to teach the game, and NBA players think they already know the game better than any coach…Take the King James the other night..The Head Coach draws up a play, and tells his team what he has in mind..What does King James say and do…He says, No Way Coach, I want the Ball, I will win it or I will lose it for us tonight…..Now granted King James is a great ball player, but he still a Player on the team, that has a Head Coach who suppose to be in charge of things like that…Its my guess, the head coach wanted King James to play the decoy, and everyone guards him, and I am sure they would have too…while another player slips past some Defender for a easy basket..But James took the inbounds pass to the corner and he puts up a prayer from deep in the corner falling out of bounds, and he makes it… .Lucky is all I will say…Had he missed it, He would clearly have been the team goat, not the hero they made him out to be,,,,How would have Coach Cal handled that, would he have gotten mad, or just went with the flow because it was King James making the play call….If this is how the Pro teams work, the why in the hell do they even have a head coach…………………..Cal may take to them about job, but I doubt he takes it right now…I believe He wants to win His 2nd NCAA Championship at UK first..,He wants to be way out in front of Rick Pitino on the winning trophy list…just my view…………
