Anthony Davis, Karl-Anthony Towns named to 2019 NBA All-Star Game

In the midst of countless trade discussions and rumblings, former Kentucky star Anthony Davis has been named an NBA All-Star for the sixth time in his career.
After being snubbed when the All-Star game starters were announced last Thursday, the NBA announced tonight Davis was one of seven West reserves for the event that will be played on Sunday, February 17.

This means former Wildcats and All-Star hopefuls Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe did not make the cut, despite each finishing in the top-10 in the final voting.
Here is the entire list of reserves.
Eastern Conference:
2019 East All-Star reserves: Kyle Lowry, Victor Oladipo, Blake Griffin, Nikola Vucevic, Khris Middleton, Ben Simmons, Bradley Beal.

With Victor Oladipo out for the year due to injury, Philadelphia’s Jimmy Butler and Brooklyn’s D’Angelo Russell have been named the two possible replacements.
Western Conference:
2019 West All-Star reserves: Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Nikola Jokic, LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl-Anthony Towns. No Tobias Harris.

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox were each named to the NBA Rising Stars Challenege, giving Kentucky four former Wildcats competing at some point during NBA All-Star Weekend.
Will Davis still be a New Orleans Pelican by the time the actual game rolls around? Or next Thursday (the NBA trade deadline) for that matter?
We’ll have to see.
Regardless, congratulations to both former Wildcats for the massive honors!

J Butler talks a lot of smack to not be an all star like KAT is!
But you know KAT is hoping they choose DeAngelo Russell. CATS
Disappointed Booker didn’t get in.
Curious if anyone knows… what happens if any named all star ends up being traded to a team in the opposite conference prior to the game? I mean… does his new conference get an automatic one person roster addition?
Example… say AD goes to Boston before All Star game.
Before anyone mentions this.. no, I do not expect AD to Boston before all star game. It was just an easy example.
