Here’s a number you forgot to mention:

1: the number of championship banners to show for it. Ask 100 Wildcats fans which they’d rather see more of between a higher number of players in the NBA or a higher number of NCAA championships and see what we really care about the most. I think 99% in favor of more championships would be the over/under in that particular poll. Cal’s great and I wouldn’t trade him for anybody else but he coaches for the University of KENTUCKY, not the University of NBA. Seeing the number of comments on NBA-related posts compared to current UK-related posts should make that clear to the writers of KSR but they all keep insisting on writing about FORMER players (mostly one and dones) in the NBA. How many are on rosters? How much money do they make? What clothes do they wear? I can sum up my feelings about all that in 2 words: ignorance and apathy. I don’t know and I don’t care!

I’m sorry but cannot disagree more. I am a fan of UK both the tradition of the school AND the players that come through our doors. That doesn’t end when they leave to continue their career. Take your poison elsewhere please.
