Your Friday 3 p.m. Marques Bolden update

“Where is Marques Bolden going?!?! When will we know????”

These questions have dominated this website in recent weeks, and while there’s been plenty of buzz in the past few days that Bolden could announce tonight, potentially in Kentucky’s favor, his father doesn’t seem to think so. Bolden’s dad told Ben Roberts that his son is NOT planning to announce his decision during the Jordan Brand Classic, which will air on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. So, here we are again.

Maybe Bolden doesn’t want to let signees from whichever school he doesn’t choose down. Maybe he wants to go to Duke but is scared De’Aaron Fox will break his legs. Maybe he wants to go to Kentucky but is scared Harry Giles will take a set of clippers to his hair while he’s asleep and give him his weird and scary hairstyle. Maybe he still needs another day or two to decide. For what it’s worth, we’re hearing it may all be over by Monday.

All I know for sure is that I’m maybe, definitely going to go outside and get some fresh air.

Everyone is wondering about Bolden and Allen while I sit here wondering where Jai Lucas is gonna go.

This is driving me crazy! Probably because I’m using this to avoid thinking about things I actually have to get done.

Yep, me too – guess I’ll have to file for an extension on the taxes. 🙂

I understand where this kid is coming from because I was a five star center once too. Jk. I really do get it that he doesn’t want to decide and face either his Dukie friends or the Good Guys

I’m going to take a minute and appreciate our blue blood problems… the issue isn’t whether or not we get Bolden or Allen, it’s where we’ll find minutes for whichever, if either, of them decides to join BBN.

Card fans are waiting on a decision too.

The longer he waits the better it is for UK. There is no reason to not commit to Duke now, the coaches just came to his house the other day.

I don’t know, maybe not if he waits until he gets back home and his parents try to build Duke up again … who knows, maybe they traveled with him

Somebody remind me about Skal’s recruitment last year. Were there updates every 2 minutes about where he was going, what he was thinking, where he was leaning, what he told reporters? Is it possible that’s how these guys get hyped up so much and then if they don’t dominate they are deemed a failure? I love getting good recruits but based on the pub this guy is getting on this site anything short of Shaq II is going to be a flop. My opinion, nothing more.

There wasn’t frequent updates. He committed early and was a fringe top ten in the early signing period. The post season all star games is what made him jump to number 2

I don’t remember a lot about Skal, but the wait for Murray was similarly nerve-wracking.

I’m not worried, we got the Wood Chopper! He will be dunking on all these fools.
