Get to know UK commit D.J. Jeffries’ game. After watching the 6-foot-8, 212-pound forward from Olive Branch, Miss., last week at Peach Jam it’s clear he will make an immediate impact at Kentucky for the 2019-2020 season. Jeffries averaged 15.3 points and seven rebounds per game during the Nike EYBL this spring and summer.

Kentucky recruited and landed a commitment from Jeffries in part to help its chances with James Wiseman, but UK’s staff is underrated when it comes to identifying talent. Usually UK’s staff will recruit the top five-star players, and that doesn’t take a keen eye to identify those players, but the Cats rarely offer a player like Jeffries so early in the recruiting cycle.

Watching these videos will showcase why UK’s staff was so high on Jeffries and he’s only going to get better. Courtside Films and Rivals put together Jeffries highlights from last week. He’s strong, athletic, can run the floor and has vastly improved his skill set.

At 6’8 he looks really good with the ball in his hands and has a good shooting form, how is he not ranked higher?
