Yahtzee Watch: Georgia Wide Receiver Chauncey Magwood

All his been quiet on the Kentucky football recruiting front since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. That may not be the case for much longer.

Chauncey Magwood will announce his college decision Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. Kentucky is one of six finalists in his recruitment, joining Nebraska, Florida State, South Carolina, Louisville and Arkansas.

A three-star prospect, Rivals ranks Magwood as the No. 65 wide receiver in the class of 2021. Hailing from Leesburg, Ga., Magwood is being recruited by UK linebackers coach Jon Sumrall, the Wildcats’ point man for prospects in the Deep South.

Folks around the program like their chances to land Magwood’s services Wednesday afternoon. The recruiting analysts share that sentiment. All ten predictions in the Rivals FutureCast are for Kentucky.

Kentucky currently only has three commitments in the 2021 class. After losing one commit last week, the Wildcats could certainly use some momentum as football recruiting kicks up entering the summer.

No comments on Dunn committing to Ohio State yesterday. UK might lose all 3 top recruits in Kentucky to the Buckeyes. Why can’t Mark Stoops pull in top talent in his own back yard?

Primetime, thereby have talked about Dunn’s commitment in the today on KSR thread. He was never theirs to lose. He never gave us the time of day. His list was UL, UT, Oklahoma and Oh st. Maybe he just grew up hating on the Cats, maybe not, but whatever the reason he never responded when they reached out to him. Just because you didn’t read it, doesn’t mean it wasn’t reported on the site. Maybe you could read and educate yourself before blowing off your hot dog holster!

For whatever reason Dunn was not on UKs radar. Either he had no interest in UK or vice versa. Apparently he and UK would not have been a good marriage. Personally I’d rather see him as a buckeye than going to a SEC school.
