YAHTZEE! Minnesota LB De’Niro Laster commits to UK

It’s been a while, can I get a YAHTZEE! As we expected, linebacker De’Niro Laster committed to UK on his visit today, tweeting out the picture above minutes ago. The 6’4″ 226 lbs. Ohio native played at Minnesota last year, but wanted to transfer closer to home. Where does Kentucky come in? Laster was high school teammates with current UK wide receiver Dorian Baker. Also, you know, Vince Marrow.

Laster will have to sit out the 2015 season, but will have two years of eligibility remaining. He’ll bring some much needed help to a position that needs it in 2016. Get your “Mucho DeNiro” chants ready.

Hopefully more Yahtzees are on the way as the Friday Night Blue Lights Camp rolls on…

247 sports list Daniel at 6′-1.5 235lbs. I have not stood next to Kash so I don’t know but I suspect this is close to his actual size.

He redshirted as a frosh. While you do not lose a year of eligibility athletically, all student-athletes who transfer are required to sit out for one full sports season of competition. Won’t he have three years left?

You get 5 years to play 4. He sat out one, played one, and will sit out next year leaving 2 years.
