YAHTZEE! Cats land top 2015 center Luke Hiers!

Bk-QlcaCYAAzmcK

Can I get a “YAHTZEE”!!!!!

Mark Stoops and company just pulled in their sixth commitment of the 2015 class in Luke Hiers, a three-star center from Lake Wales, Florida. The 6’3″ 295 lb. offensive lineman announced the news via Twitter minutes ago:

Hiers is considered the fifth best offensive center in the country by 247 Sports Composite, and second by Rivals. Hiers picked Kentucky over Louisville, South Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, and others, and most recently visited Lexington for Junior Day. In fact, Scout’s Patrick Loney reports that Hiers has actually been committed to UK since October of last year, and just wanted to visit to make sure his decision was final.

He joins LB Eli Brown, DE Levon Livingston, OT Logan Stenberg, OT Larry Wells, and OG Mason Wolfe in UK’s 2015 class.

Welcome to the fam, Luke.

#2 center in the country! The talent level has improved drastically since stoops took over. The sun certainly is shinning bright on this old kentucky home. Go Bug Blue

Seems if he is the 2nd best or 7th best center in the country, he would be more than a 3 star. But, looks GREAT in UK Blue.

Usually there aren’t a lot of Centers that are rated at 4 or 5 stars. Most of the lineman rated at 4 or 5 stars are Tackles or Guards. Like last year, there were only 5 Centers that were rated above 3 stars according to Rivals. And the #1 Center, Josh Casher, who committed to Alabama, was ranked #210 overall.

Nice! Now if we can get 50 Cent or Ice Cube at OG, then we’ll be strapped!

Luke is a 4 star on rivals and ranked as the #2 player at his position in the nation. Services don’t throw out high rankings to Offensive Lineman lightly

  10. Luke, I’ve been following your recruitment for several month, glad you chose to join and be a part of what Coach Stoops and staff are doing here at Kentucky. Welcome aboard, young man, welcome aboard.

“Awwww. That’s cute.”-Nick Saban’s response, after taking a sip of coffee, to Hiers’ commitment after getting 2 5-star and 2 4-star recruits to commit after a visit.

Life is wonderful if you allow it to be. The other option is that you fill your life with hate and try to make everybody else as miserable as you are. I really feel sorry for people like you that fall into the second category

Best the Tard fans can do is talk about how. Nick Saben got some guys too. Looks like he picked us over the cards too. Have they gotten anyone we wanted? This is looking like basketball!

Because a coach in his second year of leading the University of Kentucky football team should be able to out recruit Nick Saban. Jackhole. Incidentally this is a very high end recruit that Saban would be happy to have. Bugger off.

As of 18 months ago, very idea that UK could beat out nation’s elite for recruits was simply laughable. Now totally unsurprising. Amazing.

Maybe you have no idea what you’re talking about? Couldn’t be.

Great pickup for the Cats. Last big time center I remember us getting out of Florida was Jason Watts. If everyone remembers Watts he was the best player on the offensive line that protected Couch. Welcome Luke, glad your a Wildcat.
