Andru Phillips is the newest member of Kentucky’s 2020 recruiting class.
A three-star cornerback out of South Carolina, Phillips picked the Cats over four other finalists in his recruitment: Louisville, NC State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. He had originally planned to announce his decision in early July, but after visiting Lexington this past weekend, he decided to go ahead and commit Monday evening.

He is the third commitment in UK’s next class, joining Lamar Goods, a defensive tackle out of Connecticut, and John Young, another new addition who visited with Phillips over the weekend and pledged his commitment on Sunday.
247Sports ranks Phillips as the No. 57 cornerback in 2020 and the 11th best prospect out of South Carolina. He is a legacy recruit; his father, Carlos Phillips, played at UK in the late 80s.
