“Wildcat Legends” Announces 2 New Art Events

The popular “Wildcat Legends” Fine Art Series has announced the release of two beautiful new UK basketball prints for this season.

The first new art release is to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Kentucky’s 1998 National Championship, and the poster of it will be officially unveiled at the UK-Tennessee game on February 16 in Rupp Arena. (The event was originally scheduled for this Saturday’s game vs. Kansas.) The colorful, photo-realistic art features all 13 team members and Coach Tubby Smith, plus a post-championship game trophy celebration that includes posthumous tributes to former UK greats C.M. Newton and Bill Keightley.

The second announcement is the next release in the “Wildcat Legends” Fine Art Series to honor former UK great, Rex Chapman. The former All-American and current UK radio personality will be on hand at his “Art Release Ceremony” during the UK-Florida game in Rupp on March 9, to autograph his beautiful new print for fans. “I’m very proud and humbled to be part of this Series,” Chapman said, “It’s an honor to be among other ‘Wildcat Legends’ like Issel, Givens, Macy, Delk and Walker.”

Both events will be held just hours before their respective games in the Lexington Center mall foodcourt, immediately adjacent to Rupp Arena, and is open to ALL fans, regardless if they have game tickets or not. Pricing and other event details are to come; please visit or see their Facebook page at for more information.
