This Sunday at 2 p.m., women’s Hoops will be taking on the birds from down the road in the Yum! Center. The Cats will need all the support you can give them, so get your tickets and come on out, it’ll be a fun time.

To see Louisville get beat on their home court, again

Most of us were unable to get out to Papa John’s last weekend to see the Cats take down the Cards last weekend. But this weekend, you have another chance. Watching Kentucky win on their floor is fun, but seeing them win at Louisville with all the dismayed UofL fans makes victory much sweeter.

Makayla Epps

This girl is an absolute baller and it’s her last meet up with Louisville, so this should be reason enough to come out to the Yum! Center and cheer on the Cats. Epps has given her all to her team over the last four years and her last game against the Dirty Birds is sure to be a good one.

Wearing blue in the Yum! Center is my favorite thing

There’s no better way to rock Kentucky blue than in a place where you’ll get an endless amount of dirty looks for it. Growing up in Louisville, I’ve grown accustomed to the looks, but it never gets any less funny. So put on all the blue you own, get loud and cheer on the Cats at the Yum! Center.

This team thrives when they have great crowd support

If there’s one thing about Memorial Coliseum, the fans love their Cats and will cheer them on to the grave. Many times I’ve heard players at post-game press conferences talk about how much impact the crowd cheering for them has on the game, and they’re going to need even more support when they travel into a rival arena on Sunday. Come cheer them on to a win.

They’re going for their third upset this year

It’s only the first month of the season but the Lady Cats have already managed to upset two opponents so far. In the Kentucky Classic, the No. 19 woman managed to upset No. 12 at the time, Miami 82-66. Thursday night, a No. 17 Kentucky team topped No. 12 Oklahoma, who they also kicked out of the NCAA tournament in the second round last season. If the Cats pull out the win against No. 7 Louisville on their home court, it’ll be redemption for their loss at Colorado earlier this season.

It’s going to actually be a great game

There’s a lot at stake for the Cards right now. Louisville has lost it last two, albeit, to very good opponents (No. 3 South Carolina and No. 5 Maryland). But head coach Jeff Walz seems to think his team doesn’t have the will to win:

There’s also a lot at stake for the Cats. In Kentucky’s one road trip, they were upset by an unranked Colorado. Going on the road to a ranked opponent will be tough, but if they win on Sunday, this will make up for the lost at Colorado and boost their ranking.

Get yo tickets for Sunday’s game here for 10 bucks a pop. It’ll be the wisest investment of your holiday season (except bowl tickets, you should get those too).
