Booker is projected as either a lottery pick or very near a lottery pick. I don’t get it but that is what the mock drafts have.

Shooters don’t need defense in the NBA. That’s the problem with the league these days.

The problem is you don’t know what you are talking about. Try watching a game and then comment. Every player has to defend.

Two reasons I watch the NBA:

      1. If I scroll through a game and a UK player is playing.

      2. The NBA playoffs.

The regular season means absolutely nothing to me and most others I know.

I agree “ready” means nothing. Money talks and players walk.

I guess I’m used to losing players early now. No sad feelings this year or last about the players about to announce they’re leaving. Kind of intrigued by next year being “Tyler’s team”. A team that he leads may take on his some of his never-back-down character.

I love Ulis and I agree with Cal. This should be his team, but does that label from Cal hurt our chances with Malik Newman?

You can go to the league and be a millionaire in a couple of months….AND be broke in 3 years when your contract runs out and youre bouncing around the d league. I get your point, but Doron, Marquis, Archie and Daniel all should have come back. Name one player who has left early who was not a guaranteed lottery that has panned out.

I agree with you completely, but to answer your question on players who left early w/o guaranteed contracts “getting paid” in the League – Jodie Meeks.

I’d say Archie is working out. He does get many minutes because of all the guards he’s behind, but I think he will get a second contract no problem. Teague and Lamb should have came back; they might still not have lasted in the league, but at least their initial contract would have been better.

There is no guarantee that any of those players would’ve gone higher if they came back to UK for another year or two. What if they didn’t improve much and their draft stock dropped? So they passed on being a millionaire for “a couple of months” just to stay in college. It’s likely that they would improve here but it’s a gamble. Perhaps they choose not to gamble a few million. You can always go back to school after being a millionaire, but you can’t always be a millionaire after school. Plus, these guys believe in themselves and their abilities. Telling them they aren’t good enough when the NBA is telling them they are isn’t going to be enough to change their minds.

I think I’m like most fans in that we could always understand when a guy would leave early to be a lottery pick (Mash, Antoine, Wall, Davis, Boogie, etc.). That used to be the standard for when a guy would leave early. I guess it’s just hard to accept that guys leave college early to be second round picks and get sent to the D-League (making $25k a year) or Europe. But I suppose if you’re an elite recruit and you come to a school to get in the NBA, and playing in the NBA is your dream, the idea of staying in college for four years and getting a degree as a backup plan isn’t a high priority, so leaving once you’ve likely maximized your draft stock is probably the best option, even if you’re maxed out as a mid-second round pick.

Matt-Why are you still eating egg whites? They are proven now to be no healthier than full eggs. Look it up.

Depends on what you are going for. I have extremely high cholesterol, so can only have a couple whole eggs per week. I eat tons of eggs, but have to stick to egg whites most of the time. That being said, if you are worried about health, you shouldn’t at McDonald’s anyway.
