Who is today’s surprise guest? Shannon The Dude guessed Bill Clinton during yesterday’s show. I can confirm it is not Bill Clinton. Other than that, you’re on your own to assume.

So who is this mystery guest? Reba?

    Another UK hoops player gone?

Can we just suspend the UK Hoops program for next year until they get their ish together?

    • Has anyone here EVER seen an exodus like this from any team in an at least semi-major sport at a major school? It’s just weird.

Its definitely Karl Towns. Heard it on Big Blue Insider last night.

I bet the surprise guest is Matthew Mitchell. He knew the transfer news would come out yesterday and he knows how poorly his last interview went on this show. Wants another shot to talk to BBN.

“Thurby” isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. Back in the 90’s they actually had some really good bands playing in the infield on Thursdays during Derby Week. Now it’s nothing but a bunch of corporate tents in there trying to separate everyone from their money. Weak.

  5. Does Ryan Lemond really not know Swayze is dead or was that Ryan being Ryan?

I’m going to guess Elvis. He never died and is going to come clean on KSR.

Elvis is also the one behind the mass exodus from UK Hoops. He has been hanging around the team like Bobby Petrino at a volleyball camp.

At this point Mitchell is simply going to have to bring in some warm bodies just to be able to run a practice. The tough part is that there is an endless supply of highly athletic men’s basketball players to choose from – not so much with women’s basketball.

    • I remember assistants having to suit up for practice in Slick Rick’s first year, but that was obvs because we were decimated by the scandal/probation.

Can we get some dudes to suit up and play as trans-gender players for UK Hoops? Seems like it oughta work, except for games played in the state of North Carolina. Didn’t Baylor’s women’s basketball program do this a few years ago with Brittney Griner? πŸ˜‰

Clearly it’s Devin Booker. C’mon people

  9. Maybe A & M football has the same problem UK women’s bball has, whatever that is.

Even though Cal is a superstar in the basketball world, he behaves in a fashion that the program is about the players (“players first”). With Mitchell, whenever you see anything about his program, it seems to be about him and his dances/band/etc. Just the opposite to Cal. I wonder if the players got tired of it being about Mitchell all the time?

New RHCP Album? Well there goes my productivity for the day…

Love RHCP! Saw them a couple years ago, and Anthony can still bound around the stage like a teen-ager. Epic show that I saw was back around 1998-99 when they played Freedom Hall and the Foo Fighters warmed up for them. That was awesome – Dave Grohl walked all through the upper arena playing his guitar wirelessly. Fun times!

They are hands down my favorite band of all time. I thought they were done after Stadium Arcadium. Then I’m With You cam out of NOWHERE and now this… i got a raise and a bonus this morning and RHCP’s new album is probably the best news i got today! lol

Congrats on the raise – haven’t seen one of those in 7 years, but that’s life. RHCP are up there for me too, along with STP, AIC, PJ, and most of the other “grunge” bands from the 90’s. Just saw PJ at Rupp last week – what a show!

That concert was on the 4th of July 1999. It was my first concert and Dave walked the divider between upper and lower arena and fell on the girls right behind us. Great show!

You are right CatPapa! I remember that now – we had been out on the boat all afternoon, came home and got ready for the show, and partied all night. Good times! We’re old, tired, and chasing kids around now, but we can always take a trip down memory lane.

I used to think that A.D. was the ultimate to be the face of UK athletics, but KAT has surpassed him. Incredible talent, future all star, extremely intelligent and well-spoken, and BLUE to the core. πŸ™‚

KAT is on a decent team with a lot of rising stars.

AD is cursed with being on a bad team with no help around him (and he’s hurt). New Orleans was only good briefly because of Chris Paul.

KAT or AD, who’s the best “face of the wildcats” in the NBA? Gee, what a horrible problem to have… πŸ™‚

Yes he is. Very mature viewpoint on life. I definitely don’t see him being one of those guys who pizz away all his money.
