What they’re saying: Social Media reacts to UK vs. UofL

Ah, it seems like “Satterday” was ruined in Lexington yesterday, when the Cats beat the Cards 45-13 inside a rainy Kroger Field. Let’s relive some great moments with commentary from Twitter.

Pre-game

All the sports are getting in on the L’s down, “Come See About It” festivities:

Shoutout to the UK hockey for getting the job done over the Cards earlier this year.

We also had some celebrities in the house for the last home game of the season:

You know it’s a big game when Marlana Vanhoose is singing the national anthem.

Lynn Bowden Jr. Highlights

Let’s relive those historic rushing yards from last night:

Everyone all had to something to say after a record night for the quarterback running the ball.

Kentucky Alums and Coaches rooting for the Cats

Some alums and Coach Calipari also came to Twitter to show their pride after the huge win against the Red Team.

Lynn Bowden Jr wins MVP

What an emotional scene it was right after the game when Bowden Jr. is announced as MVP of the game!

Player’s reactions to the game: current and future!

You have to love this quote tweeting right here. It starts with this post from UK Football.

Then Justin Rigg wanted to get his guys in it:

Then Allen Dailey wanted his guys in it, too. Everyone was in blocking mode yesterday!

Plenty of other Wildcats weighed in on the win:

Missed the post-game interviews? Here are some clips from KSR’s Nick Roush

As you can tell, what a day it was when the Cats demolished that Red Team down the road. It also nice to end the season like that for the seniors. What this team has accomplished is amazing. Go Cats!

    GO CATS!

    Statement win against uavel.

“THE Commuter College of Louisville” – which beat UVA.

Note: UVA is playing Climpson for the ACC Championship.

Choke – or joke? Or WEAK conference?

There are at least three and maybe four SEC teams that would go undefeated in the ACC. Clemson will end the regular season having played NO ONE!

I agree the ACC is as weak as it has ever been.. Yet I still think Clemson goes through the SEC East undefeated with UGA being the only team to give them a game… Clemson is for real and have to be the co favorite with OSU to win it all

Good work HH. To give up more rushing yards in a game then any team in the country all season has to be embarrassing. UL hasn’t improved much, the ACC is just getting worse. Great job Cats.

The Ville couldn’t stop the rush all year.. it just proves it further against us when you know somebody is rushing and can’t stop it.. They were physically over matched on both sides of the ball up front

Lynn Bowden could start over TW…he mentioned playing b a full year at QB, I don’t see him wanting that beef with tw. He is a stud. I believe he pulled out his old HS playbook

LBJ II and TW are tight and Lynn is a team player, he would never even think about playing over TW when he’s healthy again. Not sure Bowden comes back but if he does I think everyone has seen the importance of getting more touches for LBJ II. And to the commenter who said “Bowden isn’t our best player, he’s not even our best receiver”, you might want to rethink that. I think that same person said Bowden wouldn’t even be drafted.
