What does Kentucky Google the most?

google-search-map2

Real estate website Estately just released a list of words, terms, and questions each state Googles more than any other. They used Google Trends to figure it out, and the results are kind of hilarious. Kentucky’s most frequent Google searches? See for yourself:

KENTUCKY:  Black Friday / Bowling / Creed (band) / Demonic Possession / Lyrics to Happy Birthday / New Year’s Resolution / Obama Is the Antichrist (tied with Alabama) / Whores

Analysis:  In Kentucky, a common New Year’s resolution is to refrain from staring at prostitutes speaking in tongues when out bowling.

(That’s their analysis, not mine, by the way.) I mean, where do you start? Why would someone have to Google the lyrics to “Happy Birthday”? Of course South Dakota is into Nickelback. Look at you being kinky, Utah!

This will be a fun comments section.

It’s true, the American Fuhrer, Obama, is indeed the anti-Christ.

It’s got to be those loserville fans, if they did not drink so much beer maybe they could remember the words to Happy Birthday.

After boiling, remove the jars and tighten the caps securely.

If your husband gave you a rose ffor a special occasion, for example, drying tthat rose and
framing would be a good way to remember that day.

One Black Friday I decided to go bowling. A Creed song was playing on the radio which caused me to convulse like I was under a demonic possession. At the bowling alley somebody had just turned 50 years old. We wanted to sing but nobody knew the lyrics to Happy Birthday. So I decided my next New Years resolution would be to learn that song. When I got home I opened my mail and found out my health insurance premium had gone up 50%! I screamed “Obama is the Antichrist!”. I was so upset I drove to Alabama and found me some whores.

Sorry, my bad. I had to look up Southland Bowling Alley 3 times yesterday because I couldn’t remember their hours.

Not surprised at all about the “whores” search with Petino and Petrino in the state.

The reason the happy birthday song is googled here a lot is because it was written in Kentucky.

If you read the article, these are not each states top searches. They are the search terms that are enterred more in the given state than in any other state. Subtle but important difference there. It means people here search for bowling more than people in other states, not that people here search for bowling more than they search for anything else.
