Wenyen Gabriel is officially a Kentucky Wildcat

@ByTomWesterholm
Ladies and gents, we have a new Wildcat to welcome into the fold. Minutes ago, five-star power forward Wenyen Gabriel signed his letter of intent, officially making him a Kentucky Wildcat.
At 6’9″, 195 lbs., Gabriel’s considered the fourth best power forward in the 2016 class by 247 Sports Composite. He burst onto the recruiting scene this summer, dominating the adidas Nations tournament in August and becoming one of the hottest names on the trail. He’s a long, versatile forward who used to play mostly on the perimeter before a major growth spurt in high school. Sound familiar?
Want to see the newest Cat play in person? Gabriel and his high school team will play in the Thoroughbred Classic at Dunbar in Lexington on December 12.
Reminder: De’Aaron Fox will announce his decision tomorrow evening on ESPNU and Sacha Killeya-Jones will sign his letter of intent on Saturday.
UPDATE: Gabriel just posted this picture to Instagram…
