Weird or Awesome: The new popcorn chicken pizza from KFC and Pizza Hut

Two of the world’s most iconic suppliers of nourishment, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut, have teamed up in the Yum! Brands laboratories to create a fast food menu item unlike anything the world has ever seen.

It is a Popcorn Chicken Pizza, piled high with KFC’s famous gravy, mozzarella cheese, corn and, of course, the good Colonel’s popcorn chicken.

If that’s not a big party on crust, I don’t know what is.

The hybrid pizza is available today through February 16, according to the internet, as a celebration of National Pizza Day on February 9.

Now I’ll ask you, Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com readers, would you? I’ll go first: hell yeah I would.

    It’s the latest gimmick pizza from Pizza Hut. Definitely weird, just like so many of them.

      Blown opportunity… The crust should have been made from Biscuit dough. Regular pizza dough, no thank you.

      Lettuce on pizza is always an automatic “nope!” for me. I would have to put corn in that category as well.

      Clutch raw lettuce and tomatoes are good on a taco pizza that I make. Past that no. People in my family were sceptical till they tried it now they love it.
