“We Ask You Wednesdays” Vol. 1

The off-season tends to get a little dull sometimes around the KSR compound, especially as the news ever so slowly trickles in during the months of June and July. We have to get a little creative around here sometimes. I’m going to start a weekly series called “We Ask You Wednesdays,” that can hopefully get some of you all involved via Twitter. Most of you all, All of you all, Everyone but my Mom and Dad,Some of you all will probably hate it, but it’s either this or I’ll post another Trey Lyles mix tape.

Each week, the question will change and we will hit on a variety of topics, mostly UK-related… but you never know. Each week the best responses will make it on to the website.  This week’s first volume of the “We Ask You Wednesday” allowed Kentucky fans to answer the following question via Twitter in 140 characters or less: WHAT DOES KENTUCKY BASKETBALL MEAN TO YOU?

Some went sentimental….

Some went deep…

Some went traditional….

Some kept it simple…

Some may or may not have actually been answering my question…but we can pretend anyway…

Memorial? Same.

Kentucky Basketball is my touch stone that brings “home” to me wherever I am deployed. It is the peace my soul needs when stress is all around, it is pride in my University and BBN, that nothing can claim higher ground. I am the least part of the Blue World Order, but I feel as though I am a piece of what makes Kentucky Basketball the Greatest Tradition on Earth.
Thank you UK Basketball. Thank you BBN.
    Go Cats.

Through smiles and tears, Kentucky Basketball has been in my heart since my Dad and I listened to the games on the radio back in the 1950’s.
