One of the future pieces of the Kentucky frontcourt showed off his impressive length with one of the best blocks you will see all year.
In a recent game, Class of 2021 signee Daimion Collins had 34 points, 13 rebounds, 10 blocks, 6 assists, and 3 steals in this game. An impressive line for sure, but it was this highlight that stood out:

Since the moment he burst onto the scene, Collins’ impressive length has been one of the biggest things that stands out and this video further proves that point.
In an interview with KSR earlier this year, the Texas native discussed the pitch made by the Kentucky coaching staff. He said, “Coach Cal tells me he’d use me how he used Anthony Davis… He (Calipari) said I remind him a lot of Anthony and that I’d be able to do a lot of the things he’s doing now. When I come there, the development, he says he’ll be able to develop me.”
The Anthony Davis comparison is one that is not thrown around lightly, but the length of Collins does remind one a lot of the Lakers’ star.

Yea!! He can dunk and block shots. Can he shoot from 10ft out? Can he run a pick and roll? Can he pass to anyone else on the team without turning it over. The fan base is sick of one trick ponies that make one highlight reel play.
Our 1-3 record says you’re not wrong!
Nice. Can’t wait for another freshman to come disappoint us!
Jackson had a similar block last night
That was a block and a steal at the same time.
Collins does have a decent midrage game. Although his consistancy isn’t exactly what you would want and no where close to Davis when he was at UK,plus he doesn’t shoot from there often but can be effective from there and has the potential to be nearly as good as Davis from 10+ ft out, with a bit of work.
