It’s official: Terrence Clarke will reclassify to the class of 2020 and play for John Calipari in Lexington next fall.
Clarke, a consensus top-five prospect and one of the top scoring guards in the nation, regardless of class, announced his commitment to Kentucky this afternoon over Duke, Memphis, Boston College, UCLA, and Texas Tech.
But how did the announcement unfold this afternoon?
College basketball insider Andrew Slater was live in Boston, MA for the ceremony and recorded the entire announcement.

Clarke also had a commitment video recorded and ready to go live once the announcement was made,.
“Since day one, I’ve been chasing the smoke,” he said. “I’ve been about the action and I always will be. And I will continue to do so at the next level. Thanks to the support of my mom, Coach Dexter, and Coach Smith. I am ready to make my decision. I will be reclassifying to the class of 2020 and attending the University of Kentucky.”
