Junior quarterback from Jacksonville, Mac Jones, has been lighting it up since committing to the Cats over the summer.  Even in Florida’s torrential downpours, he’s thrown touchdowns and taken care of the football.  He made the trip to Lexington for the Florida game, leaving impressed despite the loss.

You’ll leave this post impressed after watching his highlight video.

Certainly looks talented, but seems to get a lot of air under those throws and not much zip just yet. SEC corners would feast on those throws. Plenty of time to work on that before seeing the field at UK, nothing hard work and consistency can’t remedy.

Exactly,,The thing the kid has is zip..He sees the field well and looks best on the deep throw. His accuracy is phenomenal

He makes his passes sharp and usually in 3 seconds or less in the video.
He also reminds me of Peyton Manning when he was 18 years old.
I Googled Peyton Manning when Peyton was 18 years old. The resemblance in the appearance between the two is amazingly similar. We shall see what happens.
Mac Jones is 2 years away before wearing the Kentucky Wildcats uniform in 2017.

Receivers looked pretty damn good too.

He has good feet and a quick release to be 17-18 years old. However he does put a little too much air under some throws, but give him time and he should strive in Shannon Dawson’s air raid offense.

His footwork is phenomenal and definitely the first thing I noticed. He is decisive, gets the ball where it needs to be at thr right time, and has the arm strength to make all the necessary throws at the college level IMO.

Pinpoint accuracy and quick reads – will thrive in Dawson’s system.
