WATCH: People try (and fail) to pronounce towns in Kentucky

It’s no secret that Kentuckians are passionate about their towns and individuals pronouncing them the correct way. If you don’t believe me, just drive to Louisville and pronounce it “Looey-ville,” see what happens.

On Sunday, It’s a Southern Thing on Facebook released a video of individuals outside the state trying to pronounce towns inside of Kentucky, which has instantly gone viral from locals making fun of them.

Just a few of the horrendous errors? “Ver-say-lays,” “Critt-uh-deen,” “Cricket-deen,” and “Leech-field.”

Now with nearly 650,000 views, join them in seeing some of the hilariously horrible pronunciations below:

“Mont-jello?” Really?

I wanna hear Kentuckians pronounce Wisconsin town names, such as Oconomowoc, Mukwonago and Menomonee.
