WATCH: BJ Boston, Devin Askew, and Terrence Clarke Highlights from Summer Scrimmage

Future Kentucky guards BJ Boston, Terrence Clarke, and Devin Askew continue to build chemistry with one another leading up to their time in Lexington.

After gathering in Los Angeles for the first time in mid-May, the Wildcat trio has continued to work out and spend time together in Los Angeles, including exclusive training sessions with former NBA veteran Darren Collison.

With more restrictions being lifted across the country, Boston, Clarke, and Askew are now teaming up for full-court runs together in L.A.

On Wednesday, the future Kentucky guards participated in an open run at The Sports Academy – formerly known as Mamba Sports Academy – alongside the likes of former Wildcat Johnny Juzang and future UK target Peyton Watson.

BallIsLife put out a clip of the future Wildcats teaming up together, which can be found below:

Back in May, KSR’s Aaron Torres interviewed Collison about the first string of workouts, with the NBA veteran making it clear that the Big Blue Nation needs to be excited about the additions of Askew, Boston, and Clarke.

“I think Kentucky fans are really in for a treat,” Collison told KSR. “If I’m excited, I can only imagine how excited they’ll be once the season starts. … So I think Kentucky fans are in for a treat. I can only tell you so much, but what people will see, I think they’ll be very, very impressed.”

Regarding the players specifically, the NBA veteran praised Askew’s IQ, Boston’s shooting, and Clarke’s athleticism.

“I see a player that his IQ, is one of the best that I’ve seen, at all levels,” Collison said of Askew.

“[Boston] can put the ball on the floor. He can play in the pick and roll, he can shoot and create any shot that he wants to create. I think he’s going to be a really, really good NBA player down the road. I obviously think he’s going to be a really good college player in our system.”

“[Clarke is] probably the most athletic out of the group. If not one of the most athletic players in college basketball coming into this year.”

If you missed the footage the first time around, you can find Collison’s workout with Askew, Boston, and Clarke below:

When will the future Wildcats finally make their way to Lexington? On May 30, KSR first reported that the Kentucky basketball program is tentatively planning on bringing its players to campus starting on June 22, with the goal being to stay in a “bubble” of sorts between the Wildcat Coal Lodge and Joe Craft Center.

Bringing the players back in late June, the players will have an opportunity to get acclimated and train for the upcoming season while following proper CDC guidelines. One option the program is considering is keeping the players on campus for the remainder of the summer, a way to minimize potential exposure to the virus while traveling home.

Basketball’s return is right around the corner, but the trio of future Kentucky guards has already gotten a head start.

Not saying he isn’t good because he definitely is. But the talent and athleticism gap between Boston/Clarke and Askew obvious. Boston is going to be a STAR this year.
