One big man burst onto the scene at the Peach Jam to grab the attention of the Kentucky coaching staff.
Armando Bacot Jr., a top 25 player overall and the No. 7 center in the 2019 recruiting class, heard from Kentucky after crushing the competition at the Peach Jam. Even though the Cats have quite a few elite posts in mind — Vernon Carey Jr. and James Wiseman, just to name a few — Bacot proved he’s among the best of the best.
In eight games at the Peach Jam, Bacot averaged 11.6 points (54.1 FG%) and 12.1 rebounds per game. He earned MVP honors after scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds on 6-of-8 shooting to lead Team Takeover to a Peach Jam Title.
