Kicker Miles Butler chooses to walk on at Kentucky over Alabama

You’re looking at Miles Butler, a 2014 kicker from Paducah Tilghman High School who announced he will walk-on at Kentucky this afternoon during a ceremony at his school. Butler has accepted a preferred walk-on spot at UK and chose the Cats over Alabama (where he had an academic scholarship offer and was going to try to walk-on). From his tweets, I’d say he’s excited:

Miles has been training with the Elite Kicking program. Watch him kick field goals from up to 57 yards away, along with an impressive 70-yard kickoff.

Here’s Miles kicking some more field goals last week while wearing a UK shirt:

Welcome aboard, Miles. See you this fall.

Along with Josh Forrest that makes two FB ‘Cats from Paducah. If the McCracken program gets up and going we might be able to produce a player every year or so.

Miles would actually be the 3rd PTHS alum at UK. Josh Forrest and J D Harmon are already at UK.

Is he paying to come to UK, or does he have an academic scholly here as well? Surely if UA was letting him via academics UK will too….

Congrats to Miles. Great opportunity for him.

That said, he isn’t going to be getting an opportunity any time soon. Looks to be an above average H.S. kicker.
