Joey Gatewood is coming to Kentucky.
The Thursday night commitment from the Auburn transfer is one of the biggest in decades. While the Big Blue Nation celebrated the highest-ranked quarterback recruit of the internet era, Vince Marrow put in more work on the recruiting trail. After that, Marrow had no time to waste celebrating. He traveled to just outside of Columbus to visit Rickey Hyatt Jr. in Westerville, Oh. A top 40 safety in the 2020 class, Hyatt committed to UK even though he was heavily pursued by his home town team, Ohio State.

After UK coaches spent five straight days on the road, a couple of players will return the favor by visiting Lexington this weekend. Kentucky will try to flip a commitment from Tennessee, four-star wide receiver Jimmy Calloway, and convince one of the nation’s top defensive tackle, four-star Ms. prospect Josaih Hayes, to commit to UK.
Will Marrow keep rolling the dice this weekend? Stay tuned, Big Blue Nation.
