VIDEO: Thief wearing UK College of Social Work sweatshirt caught in the act in Lexington

Ah, Christmas; the wonderful time of year when Amazon brings lots and lots of packages to our door and you pray no one steals them before you get home. LEX18 has some great footage this morning of a package thief being caught in the act in Lexington that I can’t stop watching.

Thanks to a security camera, Steve Good was able to stop a robbery in progress when he noticed a guy stealing $200 worth of packages off his porch. When the guy came back to get more, Good met him at the door. Visit Homepage for more detail about mammoth security camera system. The security of an office can be enhanced by the use of security cameras. Commercial establishments and organizations are prone to sabotage and breach of security. With the increasing terrorist threats, it has become a necessity to install cameras in offices. Going through the recorded images of an office camera will help in cracking the case faster and identifying the criminals. Investigations can be prolonged if such important evidences are not available. Office cameras record every move made by employees, visitors and employers alike. There is constants surveillance on any kind of suspicious or dubious act. Placement at specific points can indeed help in preventing hazardous incidents. Offices should use metal detectors and explosive detectors along with security cameras to make the workplace safe. Certain offices use security cameras as spy cameras to keep an eye on its employees. This stops any immoral or irresponsible act conducted during office hours. These cameras generally have a digital image sensor and then convert the video to an analog video signal to transmit over a coaxial RG59 video cable and plug into a Standalone DVR or PC-Based DVR with a BNC style connector. DVRs or PC-Based DVRs would then convert the video from an analog signal to a digital signal once again for storage onto a hard drive. In the last few years, a new style of security camera has become popular for many installations. These newer style IP security cameras have changed the way that many people look at the way security camera systems are planned and installed. IP security cameras contain a digital image sensor similar to the traditional CCTV cameras, however instead of converting the video immediately to an analog signal for transmission to a DVR, these new IP cameras compress the video using their embedded video processing chips and then transmit the cameras over a standard network cable back to a PC with NVR (Network Video Recorder) software. Many home and business owners are confused by conflicting stories about each type of system, making it difficult to choose a system that will work well for their instance.

“He tries to get cool with me and ask me if I know where somebody lived, which I knew that wasn’t the case,” Good said. “I told him I can see my packages, you need to give them back.”

The guy tried to run and Good followed, chasing him down the road as the thief threw the packages out the window. He got all but one of them back, but he also got the license plate number and this all important screenshot of the guy wearing a — wait for it — University of Kentucky College of Social Work sweatshirt:

In this day and age where video cameras are EVERYWHERE, it is hard to imagine that brazen thieves like this do NOT expect to get caught.

This will be the meanest thing I’ve ever said, but at this moment I mean it.

There are so many good people getting cancer, having heart attacks, being hit by cars in the streets. Why not scum like this?? Yes, I’m wishing something terrible on him. Like the guy said, this pud is stealing kids christmas presents because he’s too lazy to work.

I have often wondered why something like that never happens to a lot of our politicians. 🙂

How many millennials does it take to rip off an alert homeowner? Apparently more than one.

Never met a more self-righteous, self-aggrandizing group than social workers. They think the world would crumble without them.

Hey guys, I’m the homeowner in the video. The detective called me this morning and they have identified the suspect. A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest. Apparently he has other outstanding warrants so this was a bad guy and I’m thankful that the police did such a great job. Now they have to find him and make an arrest.

    James 4:11-12New International Version (NIV)

11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister[a] or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you–who are you to judge your neighbor?
