Transfer season is upon us. Vanderbilt running back Keyon Henry-Brooks just announced he’s entering the transfer portal after two seasons in Nashville.

Henry-Brooks was the Commodores’ leading rusher last season, racking up 494 yards and two touchdowns on 120 carries along with 28 catches for 258 receiving yards despite missing three games. Against Kentucky, he had a season-high 121 yards on 29 carries. As a freshman in 2019, Henry-Brooks served as backup to Ke’Shawn Vaughn, rushing for 252 yards and one touchdown.

Kentucky’s loaded at running back, so this won’t impact the Cats, but it’s tough news for the ‘Dores and first-year head coach Clark Lea.

Vandy went from being decent, to being less than average, and are about to become completely irrelevant. We shouldn’t even have a close game with them for a long, long time…

Why are they even in the SEC at all? Why not replace them with FSU or Oklahoma, or Ohio St or some one like that? If the SEC wants them in the SEC because of baseball and for the the other teams to get an easy win in football and basketball, then I understand the reasoning behind Vandy still being apart of the SEC. Other wise bye Felicia!!!

Because they are a charter member, I’m guessing…

They make the SEC look a little less…….undereducated. Academically we are one of the worst conferences and Vandy is the only college in the SEC in the top 50 out of P5 schools. Our second highest is only in the 80s.

I didn’t mean to say out of P5.

Because you just don’t kick universities out of conferences. ALL conferences have bad programs.
