Something special is happening in the water at the Lancaster Aquatic Center.
Earlier on Thursday, the Kentucky Women’s Swim and Dive Team set a program record with its highest ranking in school history as they came in at No. 3 nationally. The Wildcats have lost just one dual match all season long, beating the likes of Vanderbilt, No. 7 Tennessee, RV Arkansas, No. 13 Missouri, No. 11 Alabama, and No. 19 Louisville. The ‘Cats lone loss on the year came in mid-January against then-No. 5 Tennessee.

According to UK, the ladies have an incredible 19 events ranked among the top 25 in the country.
Kentucky was previously ranked No. 10 but received a bump all the way up to No. 3 after a convincing win over in-state rival Louisville a few weeks ago, 200.5-99.5. Also ranked among the top 25 are eight fellow SEC schools, with Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee also ranked in the top 10. California and Virginia make up the top two, respectively.
The Southeastern Conference Championships will run through February 17-20 with the swim team competing in Athens, Georgia and the dive team in Columbia, Missouri.
