Yea- there was alcohol at the UK v. Miami game at Cincinnati, because it was considered a Miami home game. The same thing happened in the ’90’s when UK played Ohio University for several years in a row in Riverfront Stadium in basketball. Again, technically, it was an Ohio University home game, and alcohol was allowed.

In my opinion, if there is anyway Rupp can sell alcohol they will- just too much money at stake.

When I attended WVU they were still in the Big East they were not allowed to drink at the football stadium but could come and go as they pleased during football games.

Eventually talks on sales of alcohol at the football stadium came up for discussion. The school put it to a vote to either sale alcohol and no re-entry or no alcohol sales and can come and go as you please. To WVU’s surprise, everyone wanted to pay between $8-$10 for beer at the stadium and for the 2011 season they started serving alcohol.

The SEC should allow schools to put it to a vote on how and whether or not they choose to serve alcohol.

The thing about Billy Donovan is most of his success has come from two really good classes. Take out those 7 years and he has 3 NIT’s, 3 First Round losses, 2 Second Round losses, a Sweet Sixteen, a Runner Up, and no post season in his first year. Outside of those two classes he has advanced past the Second Round twice in 11 years.

I am so tired of people complaining about their genre of music isn’t what it used to be. This is across all genres of music. Well guess what? you don’t have to keep listening to that music. They still have your style of music that you can find online or download their songs or buy their CD of the music you actually like. There is obviously a large group of people that like the new style of music or else they wouldn’t keep producing this new style of sound. 50 said it best “Go head and switch the style up, and if they hate than let them hate and watch the money pile up”. You listen to your style and the people that like the new style will listen to theirs. Quit all the whining, times change.

    Matt,

No way Izzo is in the same category as Cal, K, Pitino, and Donovan. Yes he gets his teams to final 4s but has only finished the job once. Also many of his teams have under achieved in the regular season and tournament. (2010/2011 and 2013/14).

  50. AB
    10:47 am May 29, 2014 Permalink

It’s not “open heart surgery.” A cardiac stent is placed in the arteries via a system of wire and catheter exchanges, navigating through the arteries under image guidance. A cardiac cath and open heart surgery are tremendously different. You can often go home same-day post cath; open heart surgery requires a longer stay in the hospital and significant rehab. There’s also a HUGE gray area where a patient may or may not need a stent placed and it’s up to physician discretion. Where they often fail is properly documenting the clinical need for the stent. Not defending King’s Daughter’s. Just clarifying.

Matt you need to get all the facts before you pass judgement. Under obamacare being too old and quality of life left to live means you can’t have heart surgery. If there is a pill for that ( no matter how many side effects it causes) you can’t have heart surgery. If it was someone you cared about your opinion would be different.

Tony can come on around 11:00PM with Ryan for the 24 hours of Lemond and have a “cougar prowl hour”. They can send out love songs to all the special ladies spending the night alone. Let the sounds of Tony’s voice rock you to sleep!

    Has Ryan taught you nothing:

Fool Me Once, shame on me.
Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me Again
    or something like that!!!!

Just don’t have Jennings on here ever, please. 🙂

Will you please ask Toad to stop saying “Todd here”, right after you say his name? Drives me nuts. And can we call him Toad now? Better nickname than Todd the Bod.

Who’s Shoe is Towne’s being compared to in the picture?

I “worked” security for the Melvin Turpin, Sam Bowie barnstorming tour in Pikeville (6’2 8th grader – my best friend was the AD) and Mel was just HUGE. Sam was taller, but the entire MASS of Mel was impressive.
    Very Shaq like.

Too bad JoAnn didn’t call in today. Guess she’s already had her say about Tony. Great show.

Having Tony on is definitely a trade UP today.
Matt, have you mentioned AJ Reed as National Player of the Year?

    Matt,
You’ve never driven through Knoxville on a weekday. The only two stations that carry sports are all UT. One station from 6am to 7pm and the other 7am-5pm and then replays the rest of the day. All UT and mainly all football. Horrible!

One of two 7-footers on the 2004 roster, the first since Sam Bowie in the early `80’s … Must improve strength and shot-blocking skills … Has an 8’1″ wingspan and good touch around the basket … Will be looked upon to fill the void left by seniors Marquis Estill and Jules Camara … His size 21 shoes are the largest worn by a Kentucky player since Equipment Manager Bill Keightley started in 1962.

If u had to make a list of “Rick” players at UL vs. The “Cal” UK players and u take your $15 for both teams who ya got winning that game. I’d have to think, but I WOULD IMAGINE UL WOULD be on the losing end by far, but could be an interesting game if it were an all time UK/UL game.

    Wall/Delk/Goose(Rex)/Mash/Davis

    Vs

    Siva/Wheat/Grif/Purvis/???

    Who wins that game???
