A week and a half after toppling then-ninth-ranked Missouri twice in two days, the No. 2 Kentucky Volleyball team improved to 5-0 on the season (and 5-0 in the SEC) with a dominating victory over the unranked Auburn Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
In straight sets, UK dismantled Auburn; 25-14 in set No. 1, 25-16 in the second and 25-15 in a third set that saw a few of the younger players get some quality minutes.
FINAL – #2 Kentucky 3, Auburn 0

Auburn was picked last in the SEC — Kentucky first — and the result bore that ranking discrepancy. The biggest news of the day, though, was the health of senior star Avery Skinner, who was tabbed as one of the best players in the nation after her two performances in Columbia the week prior.
A few points into the first set, the eldest Skinner sister went down grimacing after a spike, grabbing her ankle and biting her lip in an effort to fight back tears. She did not return for the remainder of the game but was able to put pressure on the injured ankle as she left.
The ‘Cats rallied without one of their premier players as Skinner’s freshman sister, Madi, stepped up to fill her shoes along with the usual cast of Alli Stumler, Ahzani Tealer and Elise Goetzinger, leading Kentucky to an easy victory over Auburn.
