UK Softball Wins 7-3

A 5-run bottom of the 1st inning for the Wildcats propelled UK to a 7-3 victory over UCLA to force a deciding Game 3 against UCLA to be played at approximately 6 p.m. this evening.

Sophomore pitcher Kelsey Nunley gave up only 5 hits in 7 innings to get the win in the circle for the ‘Cats.  Senior Krystal Smith opened up the flood gates in the 1st inning with a 2-RBI double and later added another RBI.

Kentucky, 48-17 on the season, is now one win away from the Women’s College World Series.

      Now “Adult”: was that really necessary? Wasn’t this article about the Lady Cats Softball and how they are on the edge of going to Women’s College World Series. (Something UK has never accomplished before EVER) ! Real fan support there “Adult” , only thing you can add is criticism of someone else excitement. Cats have done great no matter how this game ends! Enjoy the game WRB!

    The ladies played a great game and beat a tough team. I wish them luck and good umpires and hope everyone supports them in the final game of the super regional.
