UK has made the final 10 for five-star power forward Aidan Igiehon. The 6-foot-8, 215-pound Woodmere, New York resident doesn’t hold an offer from UK, but he’s willing to keep the Cats on his list in the meantime.
Igiehon’s college decision will be between UK, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Florida, St. John’s, Georgia, Stanford, UofL and Pittsburgh. UK first started showing interest in Igiehon when UofL made him one of Chris Mack’s first priorities. UK has offered James Wiseman, Matthew Hurt and Vernon Carey Jr. in the class of 2019, while yesterday KSR reported that the Cats have been in constant contact with Jaden McDaneils, who’s ranked No. 4 in the class.
It seems unlikely that Igiehon will receive an offer anytime soon from UK, but you never know. If the Cats were to miss on some of their top targets he could become a priority. Igiehon is an athletic forward that would fit well in John Calipari’s system, but it’s a loaded frontcourt class in 2019.
Pretty impressive UK can make this list despite the lack of offer.
