While Kentucky commits make news for scheduling official visits elsewhere, this week the Cats hosted a talented recruit for an unofficial visit that is committed to another SEC school.
Behind the clear visor on the UK chrome dome is the face of Morven Joseph. A three-star recruit, Rivals ranks Joseph as the No. 15 weak-side defensive end in America. Joseph has 25 offers to powerhouse programs across the country, from Florida State and LSU to Auburn and Alabama.
This week Joseph made the trip to Lexington to camp with a group of his Lake Gibson (Fl.) High School teammates. Recruited by Todd Grantham, Joseph committed to the Gators in February. Even so, he’s weighing his options. The Cats may have done enough to convince Joseph to officially visit before the 2020 prospect signs in December.
A 6’3″ 220-pound pass rusher, Joseph is incredibly explosive off the line. A piece Brad White would love to have on the edge of his 3-4 defense, I think every UK fan would love to see the Cats steal one from the Gators.
