UK Hoops lands commitment from top in-state prospect
Matthew Mitchell picked up a big commitment from one of the best players in the state of Kentucky today in the form of Blair Green, a 2018 prospect out of Harlan County High School.
Green is considered a three-star wing by ESPN Recruiting, ranked fifth at her position. She was also looking at Tennessee, UCLA, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Dayton.
Green visited Kentucky in early August and looked really, really happy in her photos:

That can’t be. I’ve read numerous comments on this site from fans the past few months stating Mitchell has lost control of the program, he needs to be fired, he needs to explain why players were transferring, Barnhardt has to make a move, blah, blah, blah. He’s probably the best coach the program has ever had so despite a rough stretch how about we let him do his job, which he seems to me to do pretty well.

No, idiots support Stoops! so Mitchell signed a girl from ky and the recent collapse of the girls basketball program is all better now? i sure hope Barnfart gives him a million dollar raise so we dont lose him. Give Stoops another million while we’re at it, just in case he signs a player from Ky

How has the program collapsed when the season hasn’t even started and you have no idea how we will do? Yes, a lot of players left, but the ones that stayed are very skilled and we still have a chance to have a solid season. Mitchell has made this program a success, there is no reason to let him go at this point. Give him another million for all I care, he’s done a great job so far.
