Matthew Mitchell isn’t the only head coach in Lexington that can produce professional basketball players.
Two days after Kentucky Women’s Basketball guard Jaida Roper announced that she is signing with an agent and continuing her basketball career, her fellow backcourt teammate Sabrina Haines is doing the same. Haines has signed with KOYER Sport, a FIBA certified sports agency.

KOYER is also the agency that represents two former Kentucky standouts, Maci Morris and Taylor Murray, who both play professionally overseas.
As a redshirt senior, Haines played just one year in Lexington after she sat out a season due to NCAA transfer rules. The 5-foot-10 guard was a mainstay in the Kentucky lineup, starting all 30 games for the ‘Cats, averaging 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from 3. Haines originally transferred from Arizona State after she suffered an ACL injury in her junior season.
Matthew Mitchell praised Haines throughout the season as one of Kentucky’s most dependable players; if they needed a big shot, it felt like Haines was always the one to come through in the clutch. She could help run the offense and her defense was criminally underrated. Haines was also one of the most vibrant people to be around with a personality that injects happiness into everyone that surrounds her. We wish her the best of luck as she continues her professional career.
