UK Hoops defeats LSU to advance to SEC quarterfinals

Makayla Epps and Janee Thompson scored 17 points apiece to guide UK Hoops to a 79-71 win over LSU. Evelyn Akhator added 15 points and 13 rebounds for her 11th double-double this season.

The win was Kentucky’s seventh in a row and it sends the Cats to the tournament’s quarterfinals, where Florida awaits. The Gators won the regular season meeting in Gainesville.

Tip-off is set 2:30ish tomorrow afternoon.
