The top commit of Kentucky’s 2020 high school recruiting class is piling up the awards in her senior season.
Treasure Hunt has now been named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2020 Naismith High School Girls Trophy, which is handed out to the national player of the year in high school girls basketball. The list will be cut down to five finalists on Feb. 18 with the winner announced on March 10.
In January, Hunt was named to the 2020 McDonald’s All-American game, becoming the 11th lady Wildcat to achieve the honor under head coach Matthew Mitchell.
Here is the complete list for the Naismith award.
There are a couple of notable names joining Hunt, too. Rhyne Howard was teammates with both Hailey Van Lith (Louisville commit) and Paige Bueckers (UConn commit) on Team USA over the summer.
Standing at 6-foot-2, Hunt is a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top-15 seniors in the country according to All-Star Girls Report and ProspectsNation.com. ESPN tabs her as the fifth-best wing in her class.
