The University of Kentucky women’s basketball center Nae Nae Cole has been suspended three games by the program.
According to a press release sent out by the University, the redshirt senior from Gainesville, VA has been suspended by head coach Matthew Mitchell for “not upholding the standards of the program.”
Cole sat out the first game in Kentucky’s 99-72 loss to No. 4 South Carolina and is set to return on Jan. 12 during a road trip against Florida. The 6-foot-3 former transfer has appeared in six games this season for the ‘Cats, playing a total of 51 minutes while averaging 2.7 points and 0.8 rebounds. She spent three seasons with the NC State Wolfpack from 2015 to 2018, playing in 61 games before transferring to Lexington and sitting out the 2018-19 season.
The University announced that they will have no further comment on the disciplinary action.
